To hire Angular developers in 2026, look for seniors who build with standalone components and signals, know when RxJS is still the right tool, can move an app toward zoneless change detection, and have upgraded a large app across several major versions without a freeze. Yarify gives you senior Angular engineers on monthly terms with 2 weeks' notice, or a fixed-price upgrade. Senior market rates run about $60–80 per hour in Central Europe and $135–190 in the US.
Legacy Angular vs senior Angular
What we usually inherit
- An app stuck several major versions back
- NgModules importing NgModules importing everything
- Nested subscribes that never unsubscribe
- Change detection running on every mouse move
- End-to-end tests disabled since Protractor died
What a senior leaves behind
- Current Angular, upgraded version by version
- Standalone components and lazy routes
- Signals for state, RxJS where streams fit
- OnPush everywhere, zoneless where ready
- Playwright or Cypress on the critical paths
What our Angular developers build
-
Enterprise portals
Role-based screens, complex forms and audit trails for internal and customer users.
-
Data-heavy back offices
Large tables, virtual scrolling and filters that stay fast with real data volumes.
-
Version upgrades
Major version by major version with the official update guide, tests green at every step.
-
Monorepos and design systems
Shared libraries across apps with Nx or Angular workspaces and Storybook.

Signs of a senior Angular developer
- Explains what signals replace and what they do not
- Never nests subscribes; uses async pipe or toSignal
- Knows why OnPush matters and what breaks without it
- Has run ng update across several majors on a real app
- Uses typed reactive forms instead of untyped form groups
- Lazy-loads routes and measures the bundle
Ask an Angular developer this
-
The app freezes when a table loads. Why?
Profile change detection, OnPush, trackBy or track, virtual scroll. Blaming Angular is weak.
-
Signals or RxJS for this feature?
Signals for state the template reads; RxJS for event streams, debouncing and cancellation.
-
We are five versions behind. Plan it.
One major at a time, update guide, tests at each step, deprecated libraries replaced first.
-
How do you stop memory leaks?
takeUntilDestroyed, async pipe, no manual subscriptions in components without cleanup.

Questions buyers ask us
How much does it cost to hire an Angular developer?
Industry surveys put senior Angular developers at about $60–80 per hour in Central and Eastern Europe, $105–155 in Western Europe and $135–190 in the US. We quote monthly or fixed-price after a free call.
Our app is on an old Angular version. Is upgrading worth it?
Usually yes. Each major Angular version is supported for 18 months, so old versions miss security fixes and block library updates. Upgrading one major at a time is predictable, and every step leaves the app working.
We still run AngularJS (1.x). Can you help?
Yes, but AngularJS is not upgraded, it is replaced. AngularJS support ended in 2022. We plan the move screen by screen, often running both side by side, and quote it as a fixed-price project after an audit.
Should we move to standalone components and signals?
For new code, yes: they are the current defaults. Existing NgModules and RxJS code can move gradually with the official migration schematics. There is no need to stop features for it.
Angular or React for a new enterprise app?
Both work. Angular gives you more decisions made for you, which helps large teams stay consistent. React gives you more choice. If your company already runs Angular, staying usually wins. See React developers.
Is there a minimum commitment?
No long lock-in. Augmentation and dedicated teams bill monthly and end with 2 weeks' notice. You own all code and IP from day one.
