US companies outsource software development to Central Europe for senior engineers at well below US cost, with a few hours of overlap every day. Yarify is a senior team in Prague, six hours ahead of New York: your morning is our afternoon, so a daily stand-up and live decisions fit, and work done in our day is waiting when you start. Contracts are in English with IP assigned to you. Industry surveys put senior US rates at $140–200+ an hour versus $60–80 in Central Europe.

| Your location | Time difference | Shared hours | How we run it |
|---|---|---|---|
| New York, Boston, Miami | 6 h | About 2 h (your morning) | Daily stand-up and decisions live, rest async |
| Chicago, Austin | 7 h | About 1 h | One live slot, written updates |
| Denver | 8 h | Little or none | Async first; an early call when needed |
| San Francisco, Seattle | 9 h | None in standard hours | Async; live calls need a shifted slot |
The US and Europe change clocks on different dates, so the gap shifts by an hour for a few weeks each spring and autumn.
Turn the time difference into a head start
Six hours apart sounds like a problem. Run it well and it is a relay: decisions in your morning call, implementation in our afternoon and evening, reviewed pull requests and a staging link waiting when your next day starts.
It only works with discipline. Decide live in the shared window, write everything else down, keep pull requests small and the staging URL current. More in nearshore vs offshore.

What to check with any offshore or nearshore vendor
General points to raise with your own counsel. Not legal advice.
- An explicit IP assignment clause; don't rely on US work-made-for-hire rules for a foreign vendor
- Code in your GitHub or GitLab organisation from the first commit
- Cloud, domain and app store accounts in your company's name
- Personal data handled under a written data processing agreement
- If EU personal data moves to US providers, check they are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework
- Notice period and handover duties written down
Your code. Your cloud. Two weeks' notice.
Teams and augmentation bill monthly and end with 2 weeks' notice. On fixed-scope MVP and rescue work, overruns on our estimate are ours. You own 100% of the code and IP from day one. We are based in Prague; there is no US office.

Questions buyers ask us
Can a team in Europe work well with a US company?
Yes, with the right rhythm. Prague is six hours ahead of the East Coast, so a morning stand-up and live decisions fit in the shared window, and our afternoon work is ready when you start. West Coast teams run more async with an occasional shifted call.
Who owns the IP when a US company outsources to Europe?
Whoever the contract says, so it must say it explicitly. Use a written IP assignment rather than relying on US work-made-for-hire rules. With us you own 100% of the code and IP from day one, in your own repository.
How much cheaper is a European team than US developers?
Industry surveys put senior US developers at about $140–200+ an hour and senior Central European developers at about $60–80. Total savings depend on how well the overlap is managed. We quote fixed or monthly after a free call.
How is a US client invoiced?
You contract with Yarify s.r.o., a Czech company, under an English-language agreement. US clients are generally invoiced without Czech VAT. Confirm tax treatment with your accountant.
Is Central Europe or Latin America better for US companies?
Latin America offers more overlap; Central Europe offers EU legal standards and a strong senior engineering pool, with East Coast morning overlap. For async-friendly teams both work. See nearshore vs offshore.
What happens with our data?
We work in your cloud accounts and sign a data processing agreement. Where EU personal data is involved and flows to US providers, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and your vendors' certifications matter; your counsel confirms.
