Flat teams. Written decisions.

Senior engineers who work the way Nordic teams already do.

Nordic companies outsource software development to Central Europe for senior engineers at lower cost, in the same or a neighbouring time zone. Yarify is a senior team in Prague on CET, the same time zone as Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen and one hour behind Helsinki. GDPR applies across the EU and, through the EEA Agreement, in Norway. Industry surveys put senior Central European rates at about $60–80 an hour versus $110–160 in Western and Northern Europe. We work in English, directly with your engineers.

Built for async, low-hierarchy teams

Nordic engineering teams tend to be flat and to work asynchronously: decisions in writing, short meetings, engineers trusted to own their work. An outsourcing partner with account managers and status calls fits that badly.

We work the same way. No account manager between you and the code. Pull requests with context, decisions written in the ticket, and a demo when something is ready to see.

What to check with any vendor

General points to raise with your own legal and data advisors. Not legal advice.

  • A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is signed before personal data is shared
  • Personal data, backups and logs stay in EU or EEA regions
  • IP is assigned to your company in writing
  • Code lives in your repository and deploys to your cloud accounts
  • You talk directly to the engineers doing the work
  • Notice period and handover duties are written down

Your code. Your cloud. Two weeks' notice.

Teams and augmentation bill monthly and end with 2 weeks' notice. On fixed-scope MVP and rescue work, overruns on our estimate are ours. You own 100% of the code and IP from day one. We are based in Prague; there is no Nordic office.

Questions buyers ask us

Why do Nordic companies outsource software development to Central Europe?

Senior engineers at a lower cost than onshore, the same or a neighbouring time zone, GDPR on both sides, and a short flight for workshops, without waiting months for a hard-to-fill hire.

Is outsourcing to Prague GDPR compliant for a Norwegian company?

Norway applies the GDPR through the EEA Agreement, so data can be shared with an EU processor under a data processing agreement, with no third-country transfer. Your DPO confirms the details.

What is the time difference with Finland?

Helsinki is one hour ahead of Prague. A 9:00 stand-up in Helsinki is 8:00 in Prague, so you share almost the whole working day.

Do we talk to engineers or to a project manager?

To engineers. The person on your first call is someone who would do the work. There is no account manager layer.

How is a Nordic client invoiced?

You contract with Yarify s.r.o., a Czech company. EU business clients with a VAT ID are generally invoiced under the reverse-charge mechanism; Norwegian clients are invoiced without Czech VAT. Confirm the treatment with your accountant.

How much cheaper than hiring in Stockholm or Oslo?

Industry surveys put senior Central European rates at about $60–80 an hour, against $110–160 in Western and Northern Europe, before recruiting time and employer costs. We do not publish rates; you get a fixed or monthly quote after a free call.
