UK companies outsource software development to Central Europe for senior engineers on nearly the same working day at lower cost than London. Yarify is a senior team in Prague, one hour ahead of the UK, working in English. The UK recognises the EU as adequate for data transfers and the EU recognises the UK, so personal data flows are generally straightforward. Industry surveys put senior Central European rates at about $60–80 an hour versus $110–160 in Western Europe.

London rates, without London hiring
Hiring a senior engineer in the UK means a long search, a notice period and a London salary plus employer costs. For a product with a deadline, those months are the expensive part.
A Prague team works your day with a one-hour shift. Your 9:00 stand-up is our 10:00. Questions get answered before lunch, not overnight.

Questions buyers ask us
Can a UK company outsource software development to the EU after Brexit?
Yes. Contracts work as with any foreign supplier, and for personal data the UK treats EU countries as adequate while the EU has adequacy decisions for the UK. We sign a data processing agreement. Your DPO confirms the current position for your data.
What is the time difference between the UK and Prague?
Prague is one hour ahead of the UK for almost the whole year. A 9:00 London stand-up is 10:00 in Prague, so you share almost the entire working day.
Do you work in English?
Yes. Calls, code, pull requests, tickets and documentation are all in English. You talk directly to the engineers who write the code, not through an account manager.
How is a UK client invoiced?
You contract with Yarify s.r.o., a Czech company. UK business clients are generally invoiced without Czech VAT. Confirm the treatment with your accountant.
How much cheaper than hiring in London?
Industry surveys put senior Central European rates at about $60–80 an hour against $110–160 in Western Europe, before UK recruiting time and employer costs. We do not publish rates; you get a fixed or monthly quote after a free call.
Does IR35 apply if we outsource to your company?
IR35 rules focus on individual contractors working through their own companies in the UK. Buying a defined service from a foreign company is a different arrangement, but your advisor should confirm how your specific engagement is treated.
